'Easy Co, 506th PIR, In Photographs'

The Men of Easy Company and Genesis Publications are proud to announce their collaboration on a new, signed, limited edition book featuring the unpublished photographs and history of Easy Company,506th PIR, 101st Airborne.
 
Easy Company, 506th PIR, In Photographs will feature never-before-seen images taken during training in Toccoa, the heroic leap into Normandy, and their remarkable campaigns to the end of the war, with official Easy Company historian Jake Powers providing the text and captions throughout. Also featured are the private photographs, diary extracts, original map markings and official records of Major Richard D Winters, none of which have ever been seen before.

Due to be published in 2008, this title will join a prestigious Genesis catalogue of historical volumes which, to date, have included forewords written by Lord Mountbatten, HRH Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales, and HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The book's production will use the traditional printing and binding techniques for which Genesis is famed. Each book will be bound by hand using hard-wearing yet luxurious leather to withstand generations of use. The use of heavyweight acid-free paper, finished with gold page edging will protect the high-quality lithographic printing from fade and corrosion over time. The spine will feature gold blocking and hand-tooling, with raised leather bands, designed to the highest standards of fine leather-bound publishing.

Christopher J. Anderson founded G-2 Associates in 2006 after retiring as editor of World War II Magazine. In addition to his eight years at the world’s most widely read magazine devoted to the Second World War, Chris has served as editor of Columbiad: A Journal of the War Between the States and Associate Editor of MHQ: The Quarterly Journal of Military History. In addition to his magazine experience, Chris has authored or edited dozens of books and magazine articles. A guest speaker on various History and Discovery channel documentaries, Chris has spent a lifetime studying battlefields and other historic sites in the U.S. and abroad. In conjunction with Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours, Chris developed the original Band of Brothers Tour and has since lead six of these trips in conjunction with the veterans of Easy Company.

HBO brought the Band of Brothers miniseries to the public. Since the first release of the miniseries our contacts with HBO have been frequent and pleasant. HBO was also actively involved in building the E-Company monument on the edge of the Bois Jacques woods near Foy, Belgium, in 2005. HBO sponsored this project and we are very grateful for that.
